Anguish

This piece is the first piece I shared with anyone outside of my immediate circle. The response that I got, people telling me how “Anguish” had touched their lives, was inspiring.

“Anguish” was deeply inspired by the physical and emotional pain that I was in during its creation. Only a few months earlier, my rare neurological condition came out of remission after nearly 4 years of partial recovery. I learned that once it comes out of remission, its nearly impossible to go back to that state. I fell into a deep sense of hopelessness and frustration. The pain is agonizing, but the mental knowledge that its not getting better is almost worse.
